Batt Insulation Linetype Autocad3/22/2021
I have some architectural plans showing batting cut at angles and I need to do the same.
![]() You get a whole shape, or none; and the leftover space at each end is filled in with a straight segment. Theres no fix other than to use some other way to represent batt insulation. We use a MINSERTed block that can be scaled to precisely fit the space required. I have a lisp that will draw in the batt for you, and since it does it with linesarcs you could then trim out the unneeded parts. The drawback being that later modifications to the batt are harder, you have to erase the batt (all the linesarcs) and then re-do the command. The command prompts you for a start and end point of the batt (the length of the wall) and then the width of the wall (you pick any point on the other wall line to tell it how wide to draw int the batt). It works really slick but itd be better if it did it with polylines or some easily updated way.
